Three Lakes shifts fireworks to July 2

Parade, pancake breakfast and park festivities remain on July 4

Three Lakes will commemorate Independence Day and the nation's 250th birthday with a variety of events, including fireworks, a parade, live music, family activities and community traditions.

This year, the annual fireworks display has been moved to Thursday, July 2, while the pancake breakfast, parade and party in the park will remain on Saturday, July 4.

The fireworks display is scheduled for dusk on July 2 at Don Burnside Park. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and will include a DJ, food and family-friendly games.

On July 4, the Three Lakes Lions Club will host its annual pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. at the Reiter Center.

The community parade, themed "Small Town, Big Hearts," begins at 9 a.m. downtown and will be followed by food, games and entertainment in the park. Live music by Two Miles South will be featured, and the Red Suspenders beer trailer will be available for adults.

Additional July 4 activities include the annual book sale at the Edward U. Demmer Memorial Library and a performance by the Three Lakes Aqua Devils water ski team at 6:30 p.m.
